Time restriction
Hi,
Under actions we have sms alerts setup... basically the same as
the email alerts. anyway, under the action there is a day/ Time
filter.
when I say edit selected action the options appear to edit the
action.
My question is this if I need to get alerts for the action through out the day and do not need the alerts to be sent should they arise between 04:00 and 05:00 everyday, How would I set this up under actions?
Please assist ASAP, this is very important.

Hi Stephen,
It's not possible to specify a time where Actions should not fire in Lithium -- however, I can think of two ways you could achieve what you're looking for:
First option -- create two identical actons but configure one to run 00:00-04:00 and the other from 05:00-0:00.
Second option -- How familiar are you with Perl? You can achieve this pretty easily by customising the Action Script itself. You can save a copy of the scripts to a local file through the Action Scripts item under CORE DEPLOYMENTS in Lithium Console.

Thank you for the reply.
However the Ideas you have presented are good, can this requested not be implemented as a feature?
it would make more sense than what has been implemented on Lithium already.
