Temporarily Disable Monitoring or Alerts

You can suspend Monitoring and/or Incident reporting on a per-device level using the "Mark Device as' feature in Lithium Console.

Command-Click (right-click) on the Device in the main Console window and select either 'In Prodution', 'In Testing' or 'Out of Service' from the "Mark Device as" pop-up menu.

In Production -- Resumes all normal monitoring and Incident reporting for the default (default).

In Testing -- Normal monitoring continues but no Incidents (alerts) will be raised for any fault condition. The status of individual metrics and objects will still be shown in Console but no Incidents will be raised. The In Testing status of the device will be indicated with a Blue status dot for the Device.

Out of Service -- All monitoring and polling is suspended. No SNMP or servermgrd queries will be sent to the device. The Out of Service status of the device will be indicated by no status dot being shown for the Device.
